Psychology B.S. (Sport Psychology)

The sport psychology concentration focuses on the mental side of sport and exercise, applying principles of psychology to improve athletic and exercise performance. Students explore how psychological factors affect sport performance and how engaging in sport and exercise impacts a person’s physical health and psychological well-being. The focus is on developing mental skills that improve performance and on assisting athletes struggling with a variety of mental health issues, including performance anxiety, injury, depression, eating disorders, and substance abuse.

Psychology B.S. (Clinical Psychology)

The clinical psychology concentration is a pre-professional program designed to prepare students for graduate training in counseling or clinical psychology. It includes content and theory as well as exposure to rudimentary clinical skills through role plays and assessments. Practice as a professional counselor or clinical psychologist requires a graduate degree and licensure; this concentration builds foundational clinical skills that can be honed and extended during graduate training.

Counseling Psychology M.S.

The M.S. in Counseling Psychology is a two-year cohort program that provides a foundation in counseling skills, assessment, and individual and group therapy. It offers students the opportunity to gain supervised practical experience in a formal practicum and internship, while also benefiting from an engaged faculty. Our faculty 'do' what they teach!

Psychology B.S. (General Psychology)

The B.S. in Psychology with a General Psychology concentration provides students with an examination of many of the diverse subfields within the discipline. Students who choose this path can work with faculty mentors to tailor their studies to best meet their academic and career needs. For example, they can focus on forensic psychology, child or gender psychology, psychology of adjustment, or related topics in other academic programs.
