Are you a high school student trying to determine if you should take an AP or IB course? Here are some of the benefits of AP and IB courses:
- AP and IB courses will prepare you for your college course work. They allow you to master a subject area while still in high school, providing a new academic challenge.
- When the required score is achieved on an AP or IB exam, you will receive RMU credit that may apply to your chosen academic major.
- AP and IB courses could enable you to complete a portion of your degree before you begin at RMU.
College in High School/Dual Enrollment Credit
Robert Morris University also accepts college in high school and/or dual enrollment credits from a number of universities and colleges. Students who wish to receive college credit through dual enrollment or college in high school classes are encouraged to contact the Admissions Office to determine how these credits will transfer to Robert Morris University. Students transferring this type of credit to Robert Morris University must receive a “C” or better in the course. It is also required that students submit an official transcript from the institution in which they received academic credit by contacting that institution’s registrar.
