Undergraduate Admissions Requirements
Test-Optional Admission
To make the admissions process as flexible as possible, RMU has waived the requirement for all programs for freshman applicants.
Self-Reported Admission
Students may be admitted to most majors based on a self-reported GPA provided on the application for admission. Please note, an offer of admission would be subject to change pending confirmation of the student’s GPA on an official high school transcript.
Admissions Requirements
RMU have high aspirations and have chosen to prepare for their future at RMU. We seek students inspired by the promise and expectation of engaged learning — who value professional development, collaboration, service, global awareness, and arts and culture.
Preference for admission is given to students with a cumulative 3.0 GPA or higher. Students may provide a self-reported cumulative GPA to be evaluated for admission for many programs. (see “Program Specific Requirements” below for restrictions). All admitted students must provide a copy of their final high school transcript with cumulative GPA and graduation date confirmed prior to enrolling in classes. An official GED transcript is also acceptable.
Program-Specific Requirements
Certain majors have additional admission criteria listed below. Faculty and department heads regularly consult with admissions to review students who are close to meeting the requirements. Students who meet the minimum criteria for the following majors will be offered full admission directly into their program of choice. Please note, students must submit an official high school transcript to be evaluated for admission to these majors.
