The Center for Cybersecurity serves as the focal point for cybersecurity education and research at RMU. The Center is organized and hosted by the Department of Computer and Information Systems and supported by faculty across multiple disciplines at RMU. The mission of the center is to provide guidance, resources, and opportunities for cybersecurity education, research, collaboration, and outreach for RMU community and partnership organizations.
RMU has been awarded a new grant from the National Science Foundation (NSF) to establish a CyberCorps® Scholarship for Service (SFS) program. This grant program is to recruit highly qualified and diverse students and develop them into excellent and ethical cybersecurity professionals with strong technical and strategic thinking and research skills to meet the growing needs of federal, state, local and tribal government workforce and defend America’s cyberspace.

The Computer Information Systems (CIS) Department in SIHSS has received a new grant from the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) Cyber Scholarship Program (CySP). This grant is to recruit and develop cyber talent for the DoD cyber workforce and to enhance the national pipeline for qualified cyber professionals.
