Rockwell School of Business at Robert Morris University Celebrates AACSB Accreditation Extension

This prestigious recognition places RMU among an elite group of only 194 institutions worldwide to receive dual accreditation, affirming its commitment to excellence in business and accounting education.

Interim Dean of the Rockwell School of Business, Prasad Vemala, shared his enthusiasm for the milestone, stating, "Achieving the extension of AACSB accreditation in business and accounting is a testament to the enduring excellence and dedication of our faculty, staff, and students. It reaffirms our commitment to providing a top-tier business and accounting education, setting our students on the path to success in their careers. We're proud to continue standing among the premier business schools globally, showcasing our unwavering commitment to academic excellence and innovation in business education."

Stephanie Bryant, executive vice president and global chief accreditation officer at AACSB, extended her congratulations: “AACSB congratulates each institution on achieving AACSB accreditation. The commitment to earning accreditation is a true reflection of each school’s dedication—not only to its students, alumni network, and greater business community—but to society as a whole.”

The AACSB accreditation process is mission-driven and rigorous, involving an in-depth assessment of a school’s internal activities and a peer evaluation focused on continuous improvement. Schools engage in a multiyear journey to align their mission and operations with AACSB’s principles-based standards in areas relating to Strategic Management and Innovation, Learner Success, and Thought Leadership, Engagement, and Societal Impact.

"This extension of AACSB accreditation reaffirms our commitment to giving our students everything they need to thrive in their lives and careers and reflects our dedication to infusing the principles of business and entrepreneurship in everything we do as an institution,” said Dr. Joseph Zimmer, RMU Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs “Congratulations to the faculty, staff, and students of the Rockwell School of Business for upholding the highest standards of academic and professional excellence."

The Rockwell School of Business anticipates its next AACSB accreditation review in Fall 2028.
