Commercial Photography

Our twelve-credit certificate allows students to experience the diverse subject of photography through the development of both technical and aesthetic skills. Designed for students of any major interested in using photography as a tool for visual communication.

Upon completion of the Commercial Photography Certificate, students should be able to:

• Critically evaluate their own work and that of others.
• Demonstrate conceptual and technical proficiency.
• Read, analyze and discuss the field, demonstrating understanding of creative media as an area of constantly evolving aesthetic, cultural, economic and technological endeavor.
• Maintain currency in industry trends and standards, and awareness of the role of individual practitioners in professional innovation and governance.
