Military History
A key component in both examining historical processes and policy formation is an understanding of the role, function, and impact of military conflict throughout history. The military history certificate is designed to provide students a thorough understanding of how diplomacy, economics, state policy, technology, and societal factors have impacted wars and peacemaking in the modern era. Furthermore, it is vital in a democratic society to ensure that matters pertaining to not just peace, but the consequences and establishment of military policy be shared between the civilian and military spheres of American life.
