These letter requests are for international students who need to verify information for their financial sponsors or government. Please note it can take up to two weeks to process any letter requests. Letters will be sent to your RMU email address.
Enrollment Letter: The Office of the Registrar issues letters to verify your enrollment for the semester. Email registrar@rmu.edu to request this document. This letter will include your enrollment for the current semester and your enrollment in online courses. Your expected graduation date can also be included in this letter upon request.
Dean's List Letters: Should you earn a Dean's List letter, it will be sent to your "Local" mailing address. The school will not reprint Dean's List letters so ensure your local address is current. You can check your local address by logging into your RMU student account online. Remember that DHS also requires that you update your address with the US government within 10 days of moving.
Degree Confirmation Letter/Email: Sponsors will request your degree confirmation via email. You must give your sponsor permission to your RMU records. RMU will complete the confirmation and return it to the sponsor.
Family Travel Letters/Invitation Letter for Graduation: These letters are no longer required for your family member to obtain a B-2 visitor visa to attend your graduation ceremony. You may request an Enrollment Letter from the Office of the Registrar (see above) which will show your graduation date. See the U.S. Department of State website here under “Additional Documentation May Be Required” for the “Note” section confirming that a letter of invitation is not required and will not affect the outcome of a B-2 visa application.
Driver's License Letters: These letters are no longer required by the Pennsylvania Department of Motor Vehicles. You can read more about the process for a PA driver’s license here.
Letters for SACM Sponsored Students

Scholarship Modification Letter: This is a letter to extend the length of your scholarship to cover your remaining semesters, apply for a SACM scholarship, or separate your scholarship from a family member. All information for this letter is taken directly from your degree requirements checksheet. Any pending updates to your checksheet will not be included.
Online Course Letters: This letter is to request permission from SACM to enroll in an online course. You will need to provide the specific online course financial guarantee to student financial services in order for them to bill SACM.
Tutoring Letter: This letter is to request SACM’s permission for private tutoring. It will include the number of hours available for tutoring on campus. Visit the Tutoring Center in Nicholson Center 415 (outside Solution Central on the 4th Floor of Nicholson) or contact them at rmututor@rmu.edu to learn which courses you can get tutoring for on campus.
Change of Program Letter: This letter is for sponsored students who need permission from their sponsor in order to change their major or other program of study information such as minors and dual majors.
Letters for Kuwait Sponsored Students
Study Plan: Your study plan can be requested from your Academic Advisor. If you’re not sure who your Academic Advisor is, their name and contact information are listed in your Banner account.
Class Schedule Enrollment: You can view and print your current course enrollment/schedule in your Banner account. You can also request an Enrollment Letter from the Office of the Registrar (registrar@rmu.edu).
Verification of Non-Traditional Courses and Verification of Enrollment (VNT/VOE): These forms should be sent to the Office of the Registrar (registrar@rmu.edu) for completion.
