Beta Alpha Psi Earns Distinguished Status for 2020-2021 Academic Year

Beta Alpha Psi is an honor organization for financial information and accounting students and professionals founded in 1919. There are over 300 chapters on college and university campuses with over 300,000 members initiated since Beta Alpha Psi's formation. All of the chapters are AACSB and/or EQUIS accredited. The RMU’s Xi Delta chapter was installed in 2018. The chapter has initiated a total of 91 members to date.

In the 2020-2021 academic school year, the RMU’s Xi Delta chapter of Beta Alpha Psi (BAP) was able to reach distinguished status. The chapter members and candidates successfully accumulated 434 professional hours; 231 service hours; and 665 overall hours. The chapter held professional events from a variety of accounting, finance, and governmental organizations such as: U.S. Department of Defense, Ernst and Young (EY), BDO, HBK, Schneider Down, and The Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA). The chapter also held and participated in several service projects, such as the Cardz for Kids program, North Hills Community Outreach, Kindness Campaign, and Book ‘Em program.

This is a huge accomplishment for the Xi Delta chapter of Beta Alpha Psi. The chapter is hoping to continue to achieve this award with the help and planning of their officers pictured below. Congratulations to the RMU’s Xi Delta chapter of Beta Alpha Psi Chapter members for receiving this award!
