- Can I participate in The WLMP if I am a student athlete?

Yes, many WLMP students successfully participate in the program as student athletes.
- I am a high school Senior and want to apply.

Eligible high school students who have been accepted to RMU are invited to apply to The WLMP in the winter of their Senior year. The application is due in late January or early February. Students will be given an application status update in February or March.
- I was not accepted as a high school Senior. Is there another opportunity to apply?

Yes. The WLMP will open up a select number of spots for enrolled RMU students in the First Year cohort each Fall. Please keep an eye on your RMU email during your first Fall semester for the opportunity to apply again.

- What are the application materials?

To apply, students will submit a short essay and complete an application form.
- What are the program requirements for members?

- Maintain a 3.0 GPA while in the program.
- Be involved in at least one other on-campus organization while at RMU.
- Maintain good disciplinary and academic standing at RMU.
- Commitment to attending WLMP mandatory events.
- Commitment to monthly mentoring meetings and forms required of program members.
- Respond to The WLMP staff and other program members in a timely and professional manner.
- Commitment to The WLMP’s mission and vision.
- I do not have the capacity to be a professional mentor, student member, or faculty/staff mentor. How can I be involved?

Thank you for your interest! If you are a professional, we invite you to attend our public events, including the Fall Student Speaker Series and Women and Transformational Leadership Symposium. RMU students are invited to attend campus-wide student events, including the book group, AAUW Salary Negotiation Training, and other on-campus events.
Please also follow The WLMP on social media, donate, and connect others to the program who may be interested in participating as mentors, speakers, donors, or sponsors.
- I’m a busy student and am concerned I won’t have time for the program. What do you recommend?

- I plan to graduate early from RMU. Can I still be a member?

Absolutely! Many of our high-achieving students graduate early. We will work with you to ensure a smooth early graduation from the program.
- I do not identify as a woman. Can I still apply?

Absolutely! The WLMP encourages and accepts applications from all genders.
