Graduate Enrollment Checklist

Setting Up RMU Accounts
  1. Access your RMU Application Portal for your RMU email and ID once you are admitted (this process may take up to 24-48 hours). Your RMU ID and RMU email address will also be sent to you via email once you are admitted (be on the lookout for an email with a subject line “Student Portal: Find everything you need.”) If you do not receive this information within 3 days of being admitted, please contact your Graduate Enrollment Manager.
  2. Once you receive your RMU email and ID information, please visit rmu.edu and select “Students” at the top of the page or visit rmu.edu/students.
  3. Here, you will be able to activate your RMU Gmail, Blackboard, and Sentry accounts.
    • Sentry: Activate your account by selecting  “Activate your account” at the bottom of the Sentry Secured Services box. You will be prompted to enter your RMU ID, along with biographical information. Please follow the instructions to activate your account.
    • Gmail: Activate your account by selecting “Gmail” at the top of the page and follow the instructions throughout the activation process.
    • Blackboard: Activate your account by selecting “Blackboard” at the top of the page and follow the instructions throughout the activation process. **Please note: you will not see registered courses or course shells in Blackboard until the start of the term.
Deposit (Ph.D., D.N.P., and M.S. in Counseling Psychology Students ONLY)

Doctoral Students (Ph.D. and D.N.P.): All doctoral students are required to submit a non-refundable deposit to confirm their offer of admission. 

Doctoral deposits can be submitted online via:

  • Sentry Secured Services (be sure to activate your Sentry account first).
  • rmu.edu/deposit

M.S. in Counseling Psychology: The M.S. in Counseling Psychology is the only master’s program requiring a non-refundable deposit. Once the deposit is submitted, a space in the cohort is confirmed. 

Deposits can be submitted online via:

  • Sentry Secured Services (be sure to activate your Sentry account first).
  • rmu.edu/deposit
Registration

New graduate and doctoral students: your Graduate Enrollment Manager or Program Coordinator will register you for your first semester of courses. You will NOT register yourself for your first term. 

Please be on the lookout for an email from your Graduate Enrollment Manager or Program Coordinator requesting your intent to proceed with registration. If you have questions or concerns regarding registration, please contact your Graduate Enrollment Manager today!

**If you are currently enrolled in courses beyond the add/drop period and need help with registration, please contact your academic advisor, success coach, or the Office of the Registrar.

Contact the financial aid counselor that corresponds to the first letter of your last name for assistance with student debt management, determining best interest rates, and available financing options.

Parking (on-campus programs ONLY)

To be able to park on campus, you must have a parking pass through the University.

To purchase a parking pass:

  • Log on to your Sentry Secured account.
  • Under “Demographic”, click on the link titled “Parking Permit (Student)”
  • After clicking this link, you will need to enter your Sentry username and your Banner ID (this is found at the top of your account page on Banner).
  • From here, you will be prompted to purchase a pass depending on if you are a resident or commuter student.
  • You will also need to register the vehicles in which you may bring to campus.
