You should attend the university that is the right fit for you. The cost of tuition shouldn’t get in the way. That’s why RMU now offers qualified students the Public Price Match Plus, a scholarship that ensures a private university education at RMU that costs less than a degree from the main campuses of Penn State or the University of Pittsburgh.
Here’s how it works: If you are accepted to RMU and also admitted to the main campus of Pitt or Penn State, RMU will guarantee to match your cost of attendance with the average cost of attendance at Pitt and Penn State. Then RMU also will award you an additional $3,000 scholarship each year.
So you save money by choosing RMU. And you receive the personal, professionally-focused education that launches RMU graduates into great careers and great lives.
Public Price Match Plus. One more way that RMU is big enough to matter, yet small enough to care.
Eligibility is open to incoming first-year students who are admitted to Robert Morris University and to either Penn State’s University Park campus or Pitt’s Oakland campus. Other eligibility requirements:
- Students must be Pennsylvania residents and plan to live on RMU’s campus in Moon Township.
- Students must submit a copy of their letter of acceptance to Pitt or Penn State’s main campus, as well as a letter from their high school guidance counselor affirming their acceptance to Pitt or Penn State.
- International students are not eligible.
Students do not need to submit a FAFSA to be eligible for the Public Price Match Plus scholarship.
The Public Price Match Plus scholarship is based on the average annual in-state cost of attendance (COA) at the main campuses of Pitt and Penn State. That average is subtracted from the cost of attendance at RMU to calculate the base scholarship amount each year. RMU then adds another $3,000 to the scholarship.
Cost of attendance, sometimes called a college’s “sticker price,” includes tuition, fees, room, board, books and other expenses a family might accrue while a student is enrolled in college, including transportation and personal expenses.
The scholarship is renewable for up to four academic years, so long as students make satisfactory academic progress each year. The scholarship will be recalculated each year, based on the annual COA. The award may go up from year to year, but it will never decrease.
Students who receive the Public Price Match Plus scholarship may be eligible for a limited number of other institutional aid awards, including the Pittsburgh Promise, but it is not stackable on top of an RMU academic merit award.
|Institution||Cost of Attendance|
