Rich and I did not meet at RMU. We actually met at a New Year’s Eve party in 1983. Rich was a full-time student at RMU and I was working full time at Mellon Bank in downtown Pittsburgh. I would attend events at RMU with Rich and type papers for him as he dictated. I soon realized I wanted to go to college. I began taking classes on my lunch hour and night classes at the main campus.

Rich graduated and began working, and then started pursuing his M.B.A. while I continued working and was also taking classes part time. We planned our wedding for August 22, 1987, because it was when we both had off two weeks from school!

We moved to Cleveland and have three daughters. We've attended multiple events with RMU alumni here in Cleveland as well as some in Pittsburgh. So while we did not actually meet at RMU, we have a strong connection as a couple to RMU!
