We met through mutual friends in the cafeteria freshman year, and over the next two years we just kept running into each other — easy to do on a small campus when we were both on sports teams. Senior year everything changed when we locked eyes across the dance floor at the Homecoming Dance. We spent the rest of the year together, bonding between track and field and rowing obligations, impending graduation, and job searches. We graduated in May 2013 and were engaged in December, and we even took our engagement photos on campus! Now nine years later we’re living in Salem, Ohio, with our two wonderful kids.
