Jessica and Sean first met near the end of freshman year in Ross Hall. It was the hangout spot for Sean and his friends and the first place he and Jess laid eyes on each other. One of Sean's buddies was dating one of Jess's friends at the time. After freshman year was over, Sean and Jess went back home but stayed in touch, even going on a few dates that summer.

One night early on in the fall semester of their sophomore year, Sean and Jess decided to ditch hanging out with their friends and spend time with each other eating snacks and watching movies. It was on that night in Marshall Hall when the couple decided they wanted to "officially" be together.

Sean played for the D3 ACHA club hockey team and Jessica performed on the dance team. Some of the couple's favorite moments were watching each other from the stands. The couple were also active in Greek life, and attended numerous formals and events together. Sean was in Kappa Delta Rho and Jessica was in Delta Phi Epsilon.

Sean was an accounting major with a finance minor and Jessica was a finance major with an accounting minor, and the Colonial Couple often scheduled classes together. Both now work for Ernst & Young, where Sean is an international tax & transaction services senior and Jessica is a senior analyst.

Sean and Jessica got married in May of 2019. Many of the groomsmen and bridesmaids were fellow RMU alumni. The Brkoviches live in their new home in Evans City and are expecting their first child in April.
