The Leadership and Organizational Change certificate program offers a foundation in the process of personal, group, and organizational change, ways in which change is introduced and implemented in organizations, and how to sustain an organizational change culture.
Communication is a career field that requires hands-on exposure and preparation early on from people with real-world experience, while organizations are an inescapable part of social life, so an understanding of how human relationships work in organizations is an essential element of career success.
The B.S. in Organizational Leadership is concentrated on the process of influencing others and adapting to change. It covers aspects such as ethical behavior, organizational culture and global perspectives, purposeful communication, and the use of information for making decisions, planning goals, and implementing strategies. Students learn and practice how leaders recognize opportunities and motivate others, and how followers choose leaders.
