Fall 2024 Workshops:

All workshops will be held at the Benjamin Rush Center, Room 104

Please note: Some workshops may be accessible virtually upon request. If you are interested in a virtual option, please email Linda Graziani (grazianil@rmu.edu) at least 5 business days prior to the workshop date to indicate interest.

  • Thursday, September 5: Resume Writing Workshop: The Before & After, 12:30 - 1:30 PM
    • This workshop will cover how to properly write and format a resume that highlights a student’s education, experience and skills. Students will learn key concepts through review of a sample resume and also learn about helpful resume writing resources.
  • Tuesday, September 10: Resume Writing & Networking - Presented By Novus Group, 11:00 - 11:45 AM
    • Nancy Robertson, Vice President of Novus Group, LLC (Novus Group, LLC is a full-service staffing and workforce solutions provider based in Pittsburgh PA.  They are a leading recruiting firm for UPMC) will conduct a 45 minute workshop on Building Your Resume and Effective Networking Techniques.
  • Wednesday, October 2: Tips for Finding an Internship, 12:00 - 12:50 PM
    • This program provides an overview of internship search strategies and resources.  The process to request academic internship credit will also be covered.
  • Wednesday, October 2: 5 Tips for a Standout Resume, 2:00 - 2:50 PM
    • This program will cover the attributes and competencies employers seek in candidates, resume building strategies, and five tips to make your resume stand out in a positive way. A brief overview of the Career Center's career-readiness resources will also be provided.
  • Friday, October 18: Resume Writing Workshop: The Before & After, 12:00 - 12:50 PM
    • This workshop will cover how to properly write and format a resume that highlights a student’s education, experience and skills. Students will learn key concepts through review of a sample resume and also learn about helpful resume writing resources.
  • Tuesday, October 29: Jump-Start Your Job Search, 12:30 - 1:30 PM
    • This program is geared toward graduating students and emphasizes strategies and resources to conduct a successful job search for full-time positions.
  • Tuesday, November 12: Resume Writing Workshop: The Before & After, 12:30 - 1:30 PM
    • This workshop will cover how to properly write and format a resume that highlights a student’s education, experience and skills. Students will learn key concepts through review of a sample resume and also learn about helpful resume writing resources.
Career Guidance From an Industry Professional

Meet one-on-one with an industry professional to assist you in preparing for your career. Utilize this opportunity to refine your resume, enhance your interview techniques, or seek guidance on any career-related questions you may have. Available to all students. No RSVP required!
