"I also decided to study aboard and that was an incredible experience. I feel like I truly found myself in my 4 years at RMU and I could not be more grateful for everything this school has given me."

“I applied to probably 9 schools and started touring colleges all over starting sophomore year of high school. I kept going on tours hoping to have this feeling when I got on campus that I was meant to be there and I just couldn’t find it. I was so disappointed, I ended up taking a gap year after high school to figure out where to go next, and was ready to settle for a school I wasn’t sure about until I randomly saw an ad for RMU and decided to apply. I took a tour the next week, and literally the moment I got onto campus I finally found that feeling that I was home and this is where I was meant to be. It sounds so cliche, especially since it’s a school only 25 minutes from where I grew up, but the feeling of pulling up to the campus for that tour is genuinely something I think about all the time. I felt so lost, especially since all my friends from high school went right into college and I took a year off, but the moment I started I knew I was where I belonged. On a whim I decided to join the Division 1 Rowing team as a walk-on, I was the only one that year. Besides going to RMU, it was by far the best decision I made. I’m now the captain of the rowing team, and that is how I met my best friends. I also decided to study aboard and that was an incredible experience. I feel like I truly found myself in my 4 years at RMU and I could not be more grateful for everything this school has given me."

More Testimonials

“If I hadn’t had that one-on-one with my professors, I probably would have quit. And if I’d chosen a bigger school, I probably wouldn’t have had that attention.”

“I take great pride in being an alum. I want to see RMU be successful, and if my donations can be a small part of them moving forward in their mission, then I’m all for that.”
