Advanced Medical Imaging Technology - Certification Examination Results
Graduates of the RMU program in Advanced Medical Imaging Technology (AMIT) who hope to work in that field must pass certification examinations administered by the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) or an equivalent examination administered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). Most RMU AMIT students elect to take the NMTCB certification examination as it can be taken pre-graduation. The ARRT examination is only available post-graduation.
Of the AMIT’s May 2019 graduating cohort of 18 students, 12 (67%) passed the NMTCB certification examination on their first attempt. Two other students passed the examination on their second attempt which resulted in a 78% certification pass rate for that cohort.
Of the AMIT’s May 2020 graduating cohort of 19 students, 15 (79%) passed the NMTCB certification examination on their first attempt. Two other students passed the examination on their second attempt which resulted in a 90% certification pass rate for that cohort.
Of the AMIT’s May 2021 graduating cohort of 11 students, 6 (55%) passed the NMTCB certification examination on their first attempt. Three other students passed the examination on their second attempt which resulted in an 82% certification pass rate for that cohort.
