Grades can be entered directly into the Faculty Grade Entry self-service page for each student or the Class List can be exported to a spreadsheet, grades entered on the spreadsheet and then imported back into the Faculty Grade Entry page.
Grades entered on the Faculty Grade Entry self-service page can be modified as long as the grade has not been "rolled" to Academic History. Changes of Grades that occur after the final grades have been "rolled" will need to be processed by working with the Registrar's office.
From the Faculty Grade Entry screen you can click on the options at the top of the window for: Midterm Grade, Final Grades and Gradebook. Gradebook is a list of your classes. If you see a message "No sections are available for grading at this time." and/or the "Not Started" indicator for a given course, it means that the grading period for the given term has not yet been opened.
Select the Class Section to be viewed by clicking on the Class Section record. The list of registered students will display.
Student Information
Student information can be viewed minimally from the Student Card or in more detail from the Student Profile Page. The Student Card can be accessed by hovering over the student’s name to view their Name, Curriculum and email.
The Student Profile can be accessed by clicking on the student’s name in the Full Name field of the Faculty Grade Entry page or from the Student Card by clicking on the View Profile button. From the Student Profile page, you can view their Biographical, General, Graduation, Advisors, Curriculum and Registration data as well as access their Transcript.
Enter Grades
Grades Grades can be entered directly into the Faculty Grade Entry Self Service page for each student or the Class List can be exported to a spreadsheet, grades entered on the spreadsheet and then imported back into the Grade Entry page. If a Faculty member chooses to enter mid-term grades, they can enter them in the Mid-Term Grade field of the Mid-Term tab. Mid-Term grades do not display in the students’ Academic History record or on a students’ transcript. Grades entered on the Faculty Grade Entry self-service page can be modified as long as the grade has not been "rolled" and the grading period has been opened by the Registrar’s Office.
You can scroll to a specific student to be graded by using the scroll bar on the right or you can search for a specific student using the Search box at the top right of the Enter Grades section.
Enter the given students mid-term or final grad in the appropriate field on the student record (row). Use the drop down to select a grade. If the student receives an "I" (incomplete grade), please enter the last attended date (if appropriate).
When complete with the grade entry process, click the "Save" button. Grades can be changed / updated until the end of the grade entry period when the grades are "rolled".
If a grade is already displaying in the Final Grade field but is not enterable and the "rolled" field has a green checkbox, the grade has already been rolled to academic history and cannot be changed through the Faculty Grade Entry process. Please contact the Registrar's office.
Export a Grade Sheet
The Grade Sheet can be exported using the Export Wizard. A Grade Sheet can be created for all registered students for a Course Section (CRN) by exporting the Class list and saving it as an Excel spreadsheet. Grades can be entered on the spreadsheet and then imported back into the Faculty Grade Entry page. This is done by first selecting the Course Section to be exported and clicking the "Gear" icon on the top, right of the screen. Please refer to the Faculty Grade Entry guide beginning on page 5 for additional detail.
