NEW IRB Application Updates (starting Fall 2024):  

• Section 4 - Include all recruitment materials such as scripts, emails, postings, flyers, or other as appropriate. All materials used to recruit participants must be reviewed and approved by the IRB prior to use.
• Section 7 - Research instruments must be final-form:
  • For a survey, include any opening instructions and/or closing remarks. For an electronic survey, also provide a link to the actual survey and/or an exported PDF copy from the online survey platform.
  • For an interview or focus group, include protocol with a script of what the researcher will say initially, verbal confirmation of consent, permission to record, actual interview questions, probing questions (if any), and final script for thank you, next steps, stopping the recording.
• Section 14 - Disclose if Artificial Intelligence (AI) will be used and how.
