In the School of Data Intelligence & Technology, students are immersed in cutting-edge programs that prepare them for careers in a variety of rapidly evolving fields.
When girls and boys come to the Mars Home for Youth, they need both sympathy and a strategy. Sympathy for the problems they are dealing with, and strategy for how to cope and move forward.
Taylor Bable is eager to help with both. “I love it,” she says of her job as a residential advisor. “When you’re able to get them to understand how they can take control of their lives, and they look at you and thank you, that’s what makes it all worth it.”

Advertising Club
Doing real work for real clients, the RMU Advertising Club could be described as an ad agency disguised as a club. The Advertising Club defines engaged learning by providing account and creative services for both RMU organizations and community clients. Open to all majors, club meetings consist of creative brainstorming and work sessions. From conception to execution, the RMU Advertising Club develops quality campaigns for clients that need them.
Dean’s Scholar Awards
Recognize currently enrolled degree students who have taken at least six credits in each of the applicable terms, have achieved a 3.5 QPA for three consecutive terms (excluding summer), have earned at least 45 credits at Robert Morris University, and do not have a grade lower than a C.
Outstanding Student Awards
Recognize those students who have distinguished themselves in particular majors, subject areas, or activity centers within SIHSS.
It began in the early 20th century as result of the growing interest in dramatic arts among colleges and universities throughout America, with the aim of encouraging dramatic production at every step in a person’s academic career.

It began as an informal gathering hosted by Dr. Grant, Dr. Karshner and Dr. Pamboukian during which students presented short papers on various creepy topics. Over the past decade, it has grown into a highly competitive conference drawing dozens of proposals from all over Western Pennsylvania.
The society strives to confer a distinction for high achievement in English language and in undergraduate, graduate, and professional studies. RMU's chapter has been involved with volunteer opportunities on campus and in the community. This is an entirely student-run organization.
